Carolyyn White Hammit, 64, of Roland Manor Retirement Home at Brownsburg died at 6:15 Thursday in the Indiana University Medical Center at Indianapolis
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Women's Relief Corps. She was a 1942 graduate of Crawfordsville HS.
She was born Aug 9, 1923 at Waynetown to to A. Frank and Mary Snyder White. She married John Hammitt in 1942. He died in 1972. Survived are her mother, Mary Grimes of Brownsburg and a brother, Gordon White of Oakland, Ark.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. - kbz
